Television Is Dead, Long Live Television

It’s a real pleasure to be nominated in the forthcoming How-Do Public Service Communication Awards. Of course it’s always nice to be nominated for ANY communications awards but there are two good reasons why this one is particularly special:
• It’s for most effective use of social marketing – a notoriously difficult category to win awards in.
• It’s a campaign with a very tight (and rather unusual) audience focus: people involved in – or affected by – gun crime.
Sometimes it’s good to remember that our profession can make a difference to serious and important things in life. Let’s hope we win it now!
