Embrace social purpose
National Grid is an international electricity and gas company providing energy to millions of customers across Great Britain and the Northeast US. When the company saw the importance of expressing its vital importance to society and the future of energy, Origin was invited for a second year running to produce its Corporate Responsibility Review.
Tell the story
National Grid was also developing a unifying narrative to establish a consistent way of talking about this social purpose and presenting National Grid consistently throughout the business. Defining National Grid’s social purpose created an opportunity to produce an innovative type of report, capturing the new expression of the National Grid narrative.
Communicate the challenge
Working closely with the team crafting the new brand narrative, Origin created a design concept and visual representations which powerfully communicate the scale of the energy challenge facing the world today – and the importance of National Grid’s role at the centre of that challenge in the UK and US.
